<description>The first phase of work to deliver a major transformation of one of the most neglected parts of Coventry City Centre is due to start on Monday 28th April 2008.

Last year the Conservative Controlled City Council unveiled exciting plans to spend GBP3.6m transforming the Burges, Cross Cheaping and Ironmonger Row and to create a new public square behind Primark. The plans would see high quality, traditionally styled, materials used to renovate the area. Trinity St is also to become a two way road to ensure Bus access to Pool Meadow is maintained.</description>
